Interlibrary Loan

Our library is connected to other libraries throughout the state and nation. If you can't find an item in this library, ask library staff to help you get it from another library.

Our library buys the books and materials that we think are most wanted by our community. Because of limited resources and space we can’t buy everything that is published, but we can usually get it from another library. This is called interlibrary loan. Our library is part of a vast network of participating libraries that are willing to loan out materials to other libraries.

You may request a book for interlibrary loan by:

  • Coming to the library
  • Calling the library at 563-928-6242
  • By emailing tromig@edgewood.lib.ia.us

The Edgewood Public Library reserves the right to refuse services to anyone who orders materials that aren't picked up or who do not return the borrowed materials within the time allowed. Interlibrary loan materials will follow the check out policy of the library and may be renewed if the lending library agrees.
